The Story
After I’d been creating various dog breeds for a while, I started playing around with an idea for a sheep and my “Got Sheep” design. Then it occurred to me that I could combine the sheep with the illustrations I’d created for herding breeds to make a fun design for herding dogs. And thus began the surprisingly popular “In the Sheep” series.
The Laekenois is a the Belgian shepherd with a short, wiry coat. There are three other versions of the shepherd—the Belgian Malinois, with a short coat, and the Belgian Tervuren, with a two-toned, long-haired coat, and the Belgian Sheepdog, with a sold black, long-haired coat.
