The Story

I wanted to see if I could create simple, illustrative designs of various dog breeds that would actually resemble the breed. So, I started playing around in Illustrator. I was able to create design elements that alluded to different coat textures and hair length which could be used for different breed with minor changes. These designs became the dog breed designs found in the store.

This is the design for the Airedale Terrier. With its distinctive black and tan, wiry coat, the Airedale Terrier is the largest of the terriers. The breed evolved in southern Yorkshire, England from an old type of terrier and the Otter Hound. The Airedale has also been called the Waterside Terrier and the Bingley Terrier.
