When we’re out covering agility trials, we sometimes—through some weird alchemy of course design, lighting and personal preference—find ourselves photographing the same obstacle or series of obstacles trial after trial. While it’s not always great for photo sales, it does mean that we get more chances to get fantastic shots of dogs doing a specific obstacle.

One year, the tire jump seemed to be the obstacle that was always in the right place, with the right lighting and the right approach to get good photos.
