The Pembroke Welsh Corgi, like the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, was bred to be a droving dog. They moved cattle to market by nipping at their lower legs. The Corgi’s short stature allowed them to easily dodge the cattle’s hooves. The Corgi has a very long history, its presence noted as far back as the Domesday Book of 1086. Those are the photos we get really excited about, the photos we want to share. So, we’ve been picking out the best of each year’s photos and making wall calendars to share those images with you.

When I looked at the calendars we had for sale, I noticed that we had only one calendar featuring small dogs. So, I decided to focus on calendars for small dog owners. This calendar features a variety of Pembroke Welsh Corgis competing in the agility ring. We hope you like them!

When we’re out covering agility trials, we sometimes—through some weird alchemy of course design, lighting and personal preference—find ourselves photographing the same obstacle or series of obstacles trial after trial. While it’s not always great for photo sales, it does mean that we get more chances to get fantastic shots of dogs doing a specific obstacle.

One year, the tire jump seemed to be the obstacle that was always in the right place, with the right lighting and the right approach to get good photos. So, this calendar features twelve images of small (jumping 4″-12″) agility dogs jumping through the tire jump. We also have tire jump calendars featuring mid-sized and large agility dogs.
